University Appears To Rig Student Election In Favor Of LGBT Student

In 2017, Robert McIntosh easily won the student body election race for Texas A&M against Bobby Brooks, a candidate who happens to be gay. That is until the school mysteriously disqualified McIntosh for not disclosing the cost of glow sticks used in a campaign ad as a campaign expense. According to a lawsuit filed by McIntosh, school officials, including an advisor to student government, had privately made comments saying they did not want him to win. The lawsuit is currently pending.
