Black Student Group Wants Segregated Multicultural Center

A student group at University of Michigan called “Students4Justice” petitioned the school for a blacks-only space on campus in 2017. The group requested “a permanent designated space on central campus for Black students and students of color to organize and do social justice work” according to its petition. The school did build a multicultural center but the center is open to all races.
