In 2015, Connecticut College professor Andrew Pessin called Hamas a “rabid pit bull”, which lead to a campaign by students and faculty to denounce Pessin. Some said he was criticizing all Palestinians, and nearly 500 students, faculty, and staff signed a statement accusing Pessin of hatred.
