Saying ‘Sucks’ Goes Against Catholic Values, Claims University
Recently, St. Thomas University, a Catholic university in Miami, claimed that Turning Point USA’s use of ‘foul language’ violated Catholic principles. The school backtracked on previous permission for Turning Point to table and start a club on campus because of ‘foul language’, presumably its use of phrases such as “Big Government Sucks” and “Socialism Sucks”, although the school refused to say what the foul language was. The school later allowed the club back on campus after backlash.
