‘Outrage’ Over Madeleine Albright As Graduation Speaker

In 2016, members of Scripps College’s faculty protested Madeleine Albright’s selection as a graduation speaker over disagreements of her foreign policy. The faculty protested Albright for supporting sanctions against Iraq, removing troops from Rwanda (which she later regretted supporting) as well as supporting bombing in Yugoslavia.
