Students Threatened With Arrest Over Constitutional Rights

Turning Point USA members at Grand Valley State University were threatened with arrest in Fall 2016 for practicing their free speech rights outside of the designated free speech zones. According to Michigan Live, “They say campus police and administrators told students they would be arrested for trespassing when they tried to talk to other students about the First Amendment outside of a designated speech zone.”
