DePaul Bans Pro-Life Posters

In 2016, DePaul University, a Catholic university,  banned the College Republicans from putting up pro-life posters that said “Unborn Lives Matter”. While normally approval for hanging signs around campus is handled by lower-level administrators, this decision suspiciously ended up in the hands of the university president,  Fr. Dennis Holtschneider,  a Catholic priest.  In order to defend his decision, Holtschneider compared the posters to a noose which had appeared on campus.
