Offensive To Put Cross On Helmet

In 2014, activists at Arkansas State University complained to the school over players putting crosses on their helmets to honor “former player Markel Owens and equipment manager Barry Weyer” who died that year, according to College Fix.  “Arkansas State football players were told by campus suits to remove or alter the white crosses on the back of their helmets” after atheists complained to a university attorney.
