Rutgers Student Newspaper Fires Columnist For Saying “Illegal Immigrant”

In 2016, the Rutgers student newspaper edited out references to “illegal immigrants”, replacing the phrase with “undocumented” in an editorial by one of the paper’s columnists. When the student pushed back against the editorial decision, the newspaper fired him from the paper.
