Journalists Against the First Amendment

Recently, the student newspaper at University of Texas-Austin faced a troubling idea; neither candidate for editor-in-chief supported full free speech rights. According to the College Fix, one candidate says free speech doesn’t extend to hostile views or ‘racist views and says speech that can ’cause’ violence should be banned. Another wants to have schools force speakers to have competing views presented next to them.
